Two Day Workshop information - Friday 15th and Saturday 16th September 2023
New Workshop September 15th (Friday) and 16th (Saturday) 2023
In this TWO DAY workshop we will go beyond the initial understanding of the Theory of Attachment to a deeper awareness of the specific profiles. in the Avoidant, Ambivalent and Chaotic categories.
6 CPD hours per day.
Each day is designed to be stand-alone – you can either attend one or both days for different aspects of Attachment Theory.
Use of Attachment Theory can build a bridge to connect to where a client is emotionally. Both workshops result in a more in-depth understanding of both theory and practice, meaning you are better equipped to help your clients move beyond their familiar patterns of interaction. Clear case studies will be given to help bring each category to life.
What’s covered on Day 1: Friday September 15th
a) Secure attachment style
b) Avoidant attachment style
c) Ambivalent attachment style
d) Discussion on how our personal attachment style impacts our therapy work.
What’s covered on Day 2: Saturday September 16th 2023
a) Disorganised/disoriented or Chaotic attachment style
b) Discussing the inherent trauma these individuals have
c) Focus on methods of improving their lives
d) Discussion on working with the “infant core “
Expected Outcomes:
An increased understanding of the unique criteria in each category; with practical and theoretical tools to help your clients break free from negative patterns. Denise will provide relevant resources, practical tools for your clients and a bibliography for further study. There will be interaction, discussion and time for questions.
